Weight loss update

So it has been a month since my surgery, and time for a quick update on how I'm going! As of this morning, I weigh 110kg, which is 16.5kg less than I did two months ago at my first specialist appointment! I can't say I've seen a huge change in myself, but my clothes are definitely looser and a few people have mentioned how well I'm looking.

The biggest issue I am having is with my energy levels. I fall asleep on the couch or in bed the moment I get home! I end up sleeping until around 8pm, and then get up, make something for dinner and watch some tv before going back to bed around 11pm. I am so tired all the time. I think part of it is a vitamin deficiency - I haven't been able to take the recommended vitamins as they make me throw up (not pleasant I can assure you!)

I'm back to eating nearly any sort of food, although heavily processed food doesn't seem to sit well with me (eg I can eat good quality steak and chicken nuggets, but KFC popcorn chicken and fish fingers are out). At lunch I am often eating half a tub of yoghurt, breakfast is a cruskit with sweet chilli philly, and dinner is a few bites of steak or chicken before I'm full. I am trying to get organised with snacks when the hunger comes (which it does), and also keep watered down cordial to drink. I still can't drink straight water or take big gulps which is frustrating, but I'm working on it.

Next update I will try and get some pictures to compare, and perhaps some measurement updates as well. My next big milestone is to hit the 20kg mark - only 3.5kg to go!

  1. Doing well Bec! Is it possible that you are feeling so drained because you aren't getting enough nutrition through the food you are eating? You may be able to avoid taking supplements by adding more fresh food.

Looking forward to the next update!

  2. I agree with Lily...you need more fresh food in your diet. Doing so well though...keep it up!

  3. I was going to say the exact same thing as these people. You need real, fresh foods. I'm sorry but sweet chilli philly doesn't fit that category. And unless the yogurt is Chobani 0% plain or the likes that's not good either. You should speak to a nutritionist. New you, new body needs helps and that's what they can do.

Hi guys, sorry to bring back word verification (I know it's a pain), but I am getting masses of spam comments. I'd really love to hear from you though, so please leave a message!
